More than 10 years ago Vestia Rotterdam Stadswonen started with letting temporary accommodation to educational institutes. At this moment Vestia Rotterdam Stadswonen lets approximately 1,250 rooms to several educational institutes. As the Short Stay Housing provider of Rotterdam, Vestia Rotterdam Stadswonen wishes to offer attractive and alluring accommodation to international students who come to study in Rotterdam. All the Short Stay locations are situated in or nearby the educational institutes or the centre of Rotterdam.

Important: strict criteria of income
Since January 1st, 2011 the government prescribes strict criteria of income for the accommodations offered. The most important criterion is: the majority of the accommodations offered by a housing corporation may only be let to tenants with an annual income below € 33.614 (prices 01-01-2011). Therefore Short Stay changed the rent agreement with the next statement: “The tenant states that his/her annual income is below € 33.614 or an equivalent sum in another currency.”
