Welcome to the accommodation reservation page of Short Stay Rotterdam. Short Stay Rotterdam cooperates with Erasmus University Rotterdam to arrange accommodation for their international students. Erasmus University Rotterdam has reserved 509 furnished rooms and apartments from which their international students can choose and make a reservation.

Below you find a step-by-step guiding process and instruction manual to successfully apply for accommodation in Rotterdam. Please read this page and documents attached carefully. Registering correctly is your own responsibility.

If you have any questions about the procedure do not hesitate to contact us, but please first read the Terms & Conditions carefully to be well informed about the rules and regulations.

Procedure

Step 1
Download and read the Instruction Manual to guide you through the online Shortstay Reservation System.

Step 2
Go to the Shortstay Reservation System*.
*) This website is optimized to viewed by IE 6.0 or newer. Certain functions of this site may not be supported by other browsers.

Step 3
Register yourself by following the steps mentioned in the instruction manual.

Step 4
Wait for the approval notification by email from your contact person of the Erasmus University Rotterdam. This can take up to a few days.

Step 5
Once you receive the approval notification you can again logon at the Shortstay Reservation System. Once you agree with the Terms & Conditions and the Tenants’ Manual you can select the accommodation you prefer.

Step 6
Complete your reservation and you will receive an email which confirms that you submitted a reservation.

Step 7
After you completed the reservation, Short Stay will send you and your contact person at the Erasmus University Rotterdam a final confirmation by email. Make sure you receive a copy of this final confirmation.
In case you have not received this email - at least four weeks before your departure to Rotterdam - you should contact your contact person at the Erasmus University Rotterdam as soon as possible.

Important

• Terms & Conditions apply to all reservations.
• Please note that the deadline for accommodation application is one month before arrival. Late applicants may experience difficulties in having accommodation arranged in time. So please send in your application as soon as possible.
• The accommodation is assigned according to availability on a first come, first served basis. Therefore, it is important to reserve an apartment as soon as possible.
• Please note: Vestia Rotterdam Stadswonen only rents out for whole calendar months, starting on the first of the month.
• The academic year of the Erasmus University Rotterdam will start on Monday 29 August 2011. Vestia Rotterdam Stadswonen offers you the one time only possibility to rent your room/apartment per 19 August 2011. No other commencement date besides 19 August 2011 or the first of the month are accepted.
• If no suitable housing is available, you can contact Short Stay by email via eur@vestia.nl for more information.
• Only a cancellation at least one calendar month prior to the commencement date of the rental period will not be charged.
